Mr. Mehos is presently the Chairman of the Board and CEO of Green Bancorp, a Bank Holding Company in Houston, Texas. Prior to starting Green Bancorp in 2004, Mr. Mehos was the founder, Chairman and CEO of Coastal Banc, a publicly held $3 billion State Savings Bank headquartered in Houston, Texas. Coastal Banc was sold to Hibernia Bank in 2004. During Mr. Mehos’ tenure at Coastal Banc, Mr. Mehos also served on the Board of Directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas, for which he served as Chairman and Vice-Chairman, the Boards of Directors of America’s Community Bankers and Texas Savings and Community Bankers Assoc., and served as a member of the Finance Commission of Texas. Prior to starting Coastal Banc, Mr. Mehos worked for Goldman Sachs and KPMG as a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Mehos earned both his MBA and Bachelors in Accounting at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas.
