James R. Woolwine

Mr. Woolwine has over 30 years of experience in banking focusing on corporate and private services in Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles and San Francisco. He is the former Chairman of Golden Gate Bank in San Francisco. Golden Gate Bank was a subsidiary of Greater Bay Bancorp, a $7 billion Bay Area bank and holding company, which has subsequently been sold to Wells Fargo. Mr. Woolwine was a member of the group that acquired Golden Gate Bank in 1984, and became president of Golden Gate Bank in 1985. Mr. Woolwine headed the Bank of California’s Northern California Banking Division from 1979 to 1984. Previously, he worked for First Chicago from 1972 to 1979, where his last position held was Senior Vice President of the Los Angeles Regional Office.

Mr. Woolwine is presently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Presidio Bank, a member of the Board of Trustees of Saint Francis Memorial Hospital and the Chairman of the Board of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Mr. Woolwine is a member of the Finance Committee of Catholic Healthcare West, is on the Board of the Bay Area Sports Organizing Committee and is a Board Member of the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame. Mr. Woolwine also serves on the Board of Trustees Executive Committee of the Hanna Boys Center and is on the Corporate Board of Delta Dental.

Mr. Woolwine obtained his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and his M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Chicago.
